Custard Puffs!

Got down to baking once again and this time it was for Lili's birthday! Recipe for the day...

Custard Puffs

So here are the main ingredients needed to make the puffs.

After preparing your ingredients, boil the water and butter together in the pot. Stir till smooth.
Once done, slowly add the flour in while stirring the mixture.
Let it cool till lukewarm and start adding the eggs. Do the same as with the flour.

You could either choose to mix/stir it with your spoon or use a blender. Its faster and less tiring to use a blender of course. Stir until its smooth.

The mixture should be like this.

Pipe the mixture into any shape or size as you want. Just remember that it will rise and grow to approximately twice the size in the oven so adjust accordingly.

Leave it in the oven for about 15 mins at 250 or until slightly brown.

Your puff should look something like that.

I wanted to make durian cream for the filling but Lili dosen't like durian so I ended up putting custard filling in it instead. It was really simple to make. Just mix custard powder, sugar, milk and water together and bring it to boil until it thickens.

Next, fill the center of the puff with the custard filling or whatever you choose to put inside!

So once done, here's what you get!

TA-DAH!! ♥

So since these were made for Lili's birthday, I prepared a personalised cake box to store the puffs in!

Yep and that's it for the custard puff recipe! If you think it looks not too bad, do try it out cos its really simple and good!
